HumanTech will respond to member requests to identify and investigate the cultural and technical intersections that inform emerging technology. We offer several approaches to maximize your relationship with the Stanford academic and research community.
Methods.
Linking with faculty members for sponsored research or consulting.
If you are interested in additional research at Stanford,
or engaging Stanford faculty members or other Silicon Valley
researchers as consultants, HumanTech will arrange contacts for your
corporate staff with appropriate members of the faculty and research
staff, including bringing to your attention opportunities to meet and
collaborate with new faculty members and researchers.
Costs for funding specific research projects at Stanford are separate from the HumanTech affiliates program fee and must be determined separately with Stanford and the researchers. HumanTech can also provide members with introductions to faculty for possible consulting opportunities.
Engaging and recruiting Stanford students.
HumanTech will help you identify and pursue ways to engage Stanford
students and recent graduates through such activities as internships and summer employment for undergraduates or graduate students.
HumanTech will also entertain conversations around engaging students at partner
universities through relevant and appropriate programs.
Identifying continuing and executive education opportunities.
Stanford offers special educational programs, ranging from one-week short courses
to year-long masters programs in management, engineering, anthropology/ethnography,
strategic foresight, and comprehensive design. HumanTech can identify programs that meet the educational and developmental needs of your corporate staff, and in addition can identify Stanford faculty and resources who can assist your company in developing custom educational programs meeting its needs.
